Welcome to Dresser Alexandria Federal Credit Union
Dresser Alexandria Federal Credit Union was founded over 35 years ago by a few employees of the Dresser I.V.I. facility located in Pineville, Louisiana. Formed to serve all permanent, full-time Dresser employees and retirees paid through the Alexandria facility, our field of membership remains the same today. The credit union is governed by a Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee and Credit Committee who are all unpaid volunteers who are employees or retirees of Dresser Industries. In addition, there are currently three employees working to efficiently and effectively serve the needs of our membership.
Located on the Dresser grounds, our credit union has a member base of approximately 1000 accounts and seven million dollars in assets. Our membership is a very tight knit group, and our hours of operation are set up to accommodate members on every shift. For added convenience, there is also a night depository on the premises.
Dresser Alexandria Federal Credit Union is a member-owned, non-profit financial institution which provides financial services to our membership. When the credit union was originally founded, it offered only savings accounts. These savings deposits became the foundation for our lending program. We have since grown to offer certificates of deposit, IRA accounts, share draft (checking) accounts, debit cards, and on-line banking. We strive to provide excellent member service, competitive savings rates, and competitive and affordable loan rates. Our Board of Directors, Committee members, and credit union employees remain committed to build upon the strength of the credit union in order to become a full service financial institution.
